"Sometimes, I think im Schizophrenic. But the voices in my head tell me otherwise!"
Recently I have invested in a whitebord that hangs in my living room. The perpose of this whitebord is to write either uplifting or humorus quotes in which would make me laugh or feel good. They stay on there for a week and during that time i am either highly amused or uplifted, which i need both of those things in my life.
This weeks quote is the one above in which i just randomly blurted out one day. It made me laugh so it made the cut.
A previous quote was ..
"Find fun in everything you do. That way, you are always happy and having fun!"
So if any of you out there have any quotes that are either uplifting or funny, feel free to shear and it may end up on my whitebord for a week.

Happy thoughts
AHHHH i need happy thoughts.
Today was an ok day, but the evening has be somewhat stressful, since i was accused of playing little teenage games that i have clearly grown out of. You judge others by your own yard stick - one of my flaws that i am working on - but some people are clearly judging me by theirs. Just because they are still teenagers and like to play silly little games and what not, they seem to think that i do as well. For example - fake online accounts to stalk people with. This is one thing that i will not do. If i was to annoy someone i will do it straight up and not behind any kind of fake name. Second of all i just got frustrated with hearing about someone who really isn't worth my time and i blew up, in public (well as much as the net can be), not behind anything fake. Which then in turn spiraled into some teenage catty fight. Im over them. I had my last one when i was 19 and never intended to have another one. But during this "fight" i found out that this person has been spreading some very nasty things about me. I am fuming mad right now. So before i go to bed, I am going to list as many things as i can that i am thankful for in my life and think happy thoughts. Right now this is going to be hard. Here goes.....
* My gorgeous Mischiefs - even though they do make life hard at times, i love them to bits
* I own my own home - even though its a mess all the time and its drawn all over, its still MINE

3 Mischiefs and a Supermarket.
Wednesday is a pre-school day. Wednesday is pay day. Wednesday is the day i go grocery shopping. Its the perfect day to do it.
The plan yesterday was to do my shopping as usual and take Jakob as well seen as he has no car. But when i pulled up to his house, something had happened and he needed my help with something else. Which ended up taking up all my time and i never got to go shopping. But its ok, i really needed to help him and that was more important than shopping.
So due to my lack of shopping yesterday, and the lack of basic food stuffs such as milk, butter, bread etc, i endeavored to take all three mischiefs to the supermarket .. on my own. Wow i was insane. Devin ran around everywhere and kept wanting to sit in the trolley on all the food. Jahshia kept throwing things in that she thought i needed and Madison was rather good, but did start crying when Jahshia thought it would be funny to hit her on the head. Poor little mischief, gets all sorts of torture committed to her.
The biggest trial though of shopping with them all on my own, was the part when we got home. You see, i have no off street parking, then on top of that, i can not park on my side of the road.
This is how i executed the dilemma of getting kids and shopping inside...
Step 1 - Get the kids inside but leave the front door open so they know you haven't abandoned them.
Step 2 - Go to the car but leave the front gate shut so no kids can follow you out.
Step 3 - Get all the shopping bags out of the car and put them in front of the gate.
Step 4 - Open the gate and put all the bags at the top of the stairs. Never let the bags out of your sight or else mischiefs will put sticky fingers through them and open all the things they are not meant to open, so the next steps are to prevent that.
Step 5 - Take all the bags from the top of the stairs down to the deck.
Step 6 - Take all bags from the deck into the kitchen.
Step 7 - Quickly get all the things that need to go into the fridge or freezer into their appropriate places. Then take kids out of the kitchen and close the door.
Step 8 - Go back later and put the rest of the shopping away when the mischiefs no longer need all your attention.
Im getting the hang of this mum thing. Im learning new tricks all the time. Sure i have my bad days but everyone does. But overall i love being a mum.

Chaos in a world of responsability.
I think im going rather insane. Well more so than what i was before. I got a new hair cut the other day and i put highlights in it as well. Red and blond. I wanted a mixture of thick chunky ones and thin ones but they only did thin ones, or if they did do fat ones they are no where near as fat as i wanted. So then i decided that i will get some more done and add purple and blue in it. Yes purple and Blue. See i am going ever more insane.
I am reverting back to my young teenage punk look, although i am leaving my old leather collar with a variety of spikes in my draw. I can and will admit that i see a therapist each week. I do not think that there is anything wrong with me talking to someone because of all the stuff that is happening in my life right now and also not long before all if it happened, the Doctor did put me on an anti-depressant due to Post natal depression and anxiety. Although it was more anxiety because i was doing some crazy "O.C.D tendency" things as my Doctor put it. So i have been seeing someone since then. Nothing wrong with that. But i was talking to her last week about painting on my walls and wanting my hair done and i realized that i have so much responsibility on my own now that i am "breaking out" and "breaking the rules" where im aloud. Causing Anarchy and Chaos to release the berdon of so much responsability.
I do have to admit that I'm having a lot of fun and i do feel a happines within myself that i had long forgotten. So, long may this last and and long may i remember who i am.
♥I am a Woman, a child of god, a princes in the kingdom of our Father in Heaven, Who likes to wear wings and rock out to music while painting on my walls.♥
♥Im a tough, hard, punk arse, rock chick ..... who has 3 kids and drives a pastel green mini van and has morals and standards♥
♥I am a conumdrum, a puzzel and full of contradictions♥

forbidden fun with a Cabby tat, and a brand new body.
Friday the 17th was a very anticipated day. That was the day that i got to drive out to the airport to pick up my best friend Catherine, or Cabby tat as i call her.
I meet her back when i was about 19 and thought i needed her as a friend. Turns out, my judgment was spot on. She was exactly who i needed at that time of my life and i think she will forever be someone i need in my life.
As soon as i told her that Jakob had left again, she looks online and starts organizing for herself to fly down from Wanganui.
I am so thankful that she came. She was exactly what i needed right now. We just have so much fun together and the dynamics of our friendship has not changed even with months and miles apart.
One thing that i am doing right now is making my bedroom MY bedroom. So what do i want to do in my bedroom more than anything else .... PAINT ON MY WALLS!
I now know why the little mischiefs like to draw on walls. Its so much fun. Before anyone starts to stress and worry about my walls i would just like to point out that it is MY house and the wall paper in my room needs to be replaced soon because it has mould stains on it and it is starting to peal. So i thought, why not have some fun and decorate things my way for once before i change the paper. Just right now in my life, i need to paint on my walls. Its so much fun and made me very happy.

With all this stress that is going on in my life, i have lost a fair amount of weight. My cloths no longer fit me, so i went out yesterday and bought some new cloths.
I walked into Jay Jays and grabbed a size 14 because thats what i do. I actually picked a size 14 a couple of months ago and almost ran out the store crying because i couldn't squeeze into them, so i thought, i should be able to fit them now, right? I go to try them on and get a shock, not only can i do them up, but i can't keep them up. So i go and get a 12 ... same thing, still a bit loose. I then try a 10. How on earth can i squeeze into a size 10 pair of pants. So here are some pictures of my transformation. The last picture i have of myself was about 2 weeks before Madison was born.

Decadent Delites
I remember my mum talking about this person who had once said to her "I will not go to heaven if they do not have pavlova there".
I thought tonight i might share some of my heavenly must haves:
1: World famous in New Zealand - Tim Tam Slam.
First step, make a Hot Chocolate from Cadbury drinking Chocolate. It must be made with milk not milk and hot water. Although you can make it with cream and milk. mmmm.
Then get yourself a Tim Tam (double coat is best), bite of a small amount from each end, place one end in your hot chocolate and proceed to suck your drink through like with a straw. Only suck until you have a small mouthful of hot chocolate then quickly eat your melting chocolate biscuit before it falls apart in your hands. This is the best way to eat chocolate biscuits. I was thinking the other day as i was indulging myself in a few of these, that if i could only add maybe some mint essence to the hot chocolate, then it would be perfect.
Notice how its an empty packet!!

Notice how its an empty packet!!2: This is one that i craved a lot while pregnant with Madison.
It is very simply a bowl of ice cream with milk and or cream poured over the top. mmmm oh so creamy.
3: Good old homemade milk shakes made from fruit, yoghurt, ice cream, milk and maybe cream if you have some.
4: Gingernuts and cream.
My Mum is the only person i have known to make this the way that we do. Most people i know make like a log of gingernuts and cream. I on the other hand find that somewhat messy and awkward to eat. So i like my mums version.
Heat your oven to 180°C. Place gingernuts on a muffin tray and heat in the oven for about 5min, or until gingernuts are soft. Push the gingernuts down into the tray so the cup. When they are cooled, dollop some cream in the middle. Much less messy to eat.
I made these tonight and ate them all before i even got to writing this section of my post. I added grated chocolate to the tops because i thought it looked yummier.
Yes yes i know, all my heavenly delights contain a lot of milk and or cream. Rather naughty for someone who may have a mild intolerance to the substance. My mum and my 2 sisters can not have dairy and i have been told that i to may not be able to tolerate it as well as others. But i have not had any adverse affects to having dairy. Well sure ok every now and then if i drink milk my stomach will get a mild twinge but thats all that happens. I did at one point say that i was going to cut dairy from my diet. But that lasted all of half a day. One sip of rice milk and i went running back to my beloved cows milk. I do not like soy milk so i thought i would give rice milk a go. Turns out, i don't like that either. But its not like cream is a big part of my diet. Cream is a special treat that i only buy every now and then. Mostly when i go shopping on my own i will get myself a little bottle and make it last as long as i can. I do love drinking it straight.
But for now i will continue on my dairy seen as i am nursing a baby and need all the calcium and milk producing factors as possible. Well thats what i like to tell myself.

Beautiful Dunedin

One of the biggest selling points for us in purchasing our home was the breath taken views that we can see from every bedroom and the lounge. I find this picture is far to small and does little justice to its real beauty. We can see from Mt Cargill to the ocean.
When i woke Wednesday morning, I open the curtains to find clouds rolling beside the Mornington hills which would have been over town and the harbor. Here are some of the awesome pictures i captured. Unfortunately these pictures only show a small amount of beauty that the eye sees, so it was much more spectacular than what you can see in this blog.

Our dream is to one day build a mega deck spanning the length of our house. When that is done, we can then enjoy our views while sitting outside in the nice Dunedin sun sipping away on our mormon cocktails. I don't think there is such a thing as mormon cocktails, but it sounds cool and sophisticated.
I have big dreams for our house. Another reason to why be bought this house was that we saw potential to renovate and make it more our own home. I so wish that i had all the money i need right now to do all we want to our house, But that wont happen for a while yet. I can't wait.

And along came winter.
Its cold
Its cold
Its cold
Its so cold that my heat pump keeps turning off to de-frost itself because it has been iced up on the outside. (im not looking forward to my power bill but id rather cry over a big power and be warm(in one room), than just cry because im so cold and im making my kids so cold)
Its so cold that 4 douvets on your bed just doesn't cut it.
Its so cold i have to put my feather down jacket on just to leave the living room to enter another part of my house.
cold cold cold cold cold.
but on the flip side .....
You can have as many hot chocolates as you want, cook yummy hot casserole and have pumpkin soup all snuggled up under the blankets.
You have pretty views of snow covered hills (or backyards in my case) and make an army of snow men.
I was woken at 5am today to feed a hungry little girl and it was freezing. I looked out the window and saw a white blanket covering my house. I have 4 douvets on my bed and yet could not get back to sleep because i was rather cold. Tonight i am getting my electric blanket out and seeing if it still works and if so, it will be put on my bed. Sure ok im worried about my power bill but it will be only put on in the mornings after feeding. Its the coldest then and i often can't find my way back to sleep due to my constant shivering. But Jakob finished work at 7am and he came and snuggled for a little bit and got me back to sleep before he was dragged away by the demanding howls of "daddy, we go lounge" "come daddy".
I then arose at 10am to a very excited Devin wanting to "go play snow". So without hesitation, Devin, Jahshia and I got all geared up in our wollen jursys, gloves, hats, gumboots and big jackets and ventured outside. I went to get the camera only to find that the battery was low. Just my luck. So i plugged it in and thought id come back later to take pictures. Unfortunately by the time it had charged enough for me to take pictures, Jahshia had had enough and all the pictures of her are her crying because i wasn't holding her hand. But trust me she did have fun and giggle loads. we made a snow man which Devin loved doing. Although it was hard to get him to start because all he wanted to do was throw snow at me. I was bending over to roll some snow and there was a small gap in my clothing which showed a tinny slither of my back, which then Devin thought it would be rather amusing if he through snow on my back at that precise moment. Oh my goodness that was cold. I just had to laugh at him or else i would have been somewhat angry and that would have ruined our time.
My mum is suppose to be coming down from Christchurch today. I cannot get a hold of her to see if she can actually make it. Although looking out my living room window i cannot see much snow on the adjacent hill, so the motorway could be open. I hope she makes its. Ive been looking forward to her coming.
I love snow. But i would love it more if my whole house was warm and we didn't have to huddle in one room to keep warm.

Birthday surprises.
My mum can be a rather odd person.
When i was younger, my bedroom had a phone jack and i saw this awesome winnie the pooh phone at the store. I wanted that phone. It was a big plushy winnie the pooh teddy with a phone attached to it. I loved teddy bears and adored winnie the pooh. My birthday was comming up and all i wanted was the winnie the pooh phone. It was rather expensive and my parents where not keen on me having my own phone in my bedroom. My birthday came along and as i was handed my gift i could tell by the size it was not my longed for phone. But as i unwrapped it there was a couple things wrapped up and one was a winnie the pooh clip on for a phone. "now you can make any phone a winne the pooh phone" so in a way they got me a pooh bear phone.
Another birthday all i wanted was a car. I didn't have my licence because the public bus system where i grew up was very reliable and rather cheep. 50c got me into town, stay there for 4 hours and then back home again. but i thought if i had a car that would motivate me to get my licence. My birthday came along and sure enough my parents had bought me a car. but what i failed to state was that i wanted a car that i can drive, or even just fit in. They thought it would be funny if they got me a matchbox car. That wasn't the only thing i got so i did find the joke rather funny.
This year for Jakobs birthday my mum bought him a slow cook. "A slow cook? your mum bought me a slow cook? your mum didn't buy me anything, she bought you something" was his reaction. But what my darling hubby fails to realize is that yes she did buy us (or me) a slow cook but in the act of doing so she gave Jakob a calm (well not all the time) happy wife who doesn't stress so much about dinner which in turn creates a happy home. So if you think about it, my mum gave Jakob a happy home for his birthday.
I love my slow cook. It is the best invention ever. I just put all the ingredients in the pot in the morning, turn it on, and by dinner time i have this lovely cooked dinner with very little effort.
It is rather hard when it comes to 4pm and its time to cook dinner with 3 screaming mischief children wanting your attention and 2 of them stealing biscuits (or cookies depending on what you want to call them). It doesn't always work. But with my slow cook i can play with the kids up until its time to put dinner out. Its so easy and so stress free. Every mother needs one of these.
Another good thing about them is that they use little power. So you can make yummy hot casserols with a fraction of the power you would be using if cooked in the oven, and with a fraction of the hassel.
Thank you to who ever invented this amazing kitchen tool. I love it to bits.
