Devin "Mummy there is sheep in our house"
Mummy "No honey, that was the neighbours dog"
Devin "No Mummy, it was a sheep"
Mummy "The neighbour dog is shaggy and could look like a sheep sometimes"
He just left it at that, he wasn't going to push the subject.
Madison was falling asleep in my arms, so i unlocked the house, took her to her bed then proceeded to go to the window to shut the curtains. As i went to the window, i took a glimpse outside to check on the dog and make sure he was ok, but i got surprise. Standing in my backyard were 3 sheep.
"See mummy, sheep are in our house."
"Yes Devin, you were right, there are sheep in our yard"
I tried to take photos of the 3 sheep, but alas, these sheep where somewhat sheepish and took off the moment i appeared in my yard.
After Madison woke from her afternoon nap, we went for a walk. An hour later we arrive home to find our backyard invaded yet again by sheep, but this time there were 4. I managed to get some photos this time before i herded them back down the driveway to where they belong.
Although would it be wrong of me to have one for dinner? The thought of roast lamb was very tempting.
Peshie found a little lamb,
Munching on some toast,
She shaved it down & wrapped it up,
It made the perfect roast!

How random is that?! But what a nice and interesting thing to happen in the day.
We came home one Easter weekend to discover two sheep munching and pooping all over our lawn - apparently some dodgy neighbours living in a flat a couple of houses down the street were fattening them up for an end of year roast - TRUE story. We called DCC animal control and they came and took them away. Random.
